Meet the Team

Empathy. Compassion. Connection.

Jonnie Lane, PhD, CCS, LCMHC, LCAS, CRC

Owner/Practitioner

People weren't meant to do life alone. Change is possible. If you agree with these, I may be the counselor for you.

I have been counseling for over 15 years in a variety of settings, treating mental health and substance use recovery needs; and I have been supervising for over 10 years. I hold a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from NC State University (2019) and two Master's Degrees in Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University (2011).

As a counselor, my approach is relational and goal oriented. We will identify what wellness means to you and figure out the best way to get there. Sometimes, it starts with talk therapy. Sometimes, it starts with structure. Either way, we develop a path together. I like to incorporate activities and education into my counseling, as these can be helpful tools to elicit awareness and insight. I whole-heartedly believe that if you put in the work and establish healthy habits, you can make progress on your wellness journey.

In terms of supervision, I take a structured approach with agenda setting. We will highlight immediate/urgent needs first followed by succinct review of client and professional issues. Good supervision should include a combination of teaching, mentoring, and counseling. When it's over you should feel like you've learned something new, shaped the knowledge you already had into practical application, and learned more about yourself as a professional.

I am available for bookings for counseling or for supervision Fridays from 9 am - 4pm for clients and counselors across North Carolina and Utah.

I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, understood, and supported. As a Licensed Professional School Counselor and Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, I work with adolescents, women, and families navigating life transitions, identity shifts, anxiety, and caregiving stress.

For three years, I served as a middle school counselor, supporting students and families through social, emotional, and developmental challenges. This experience shaped my passion for walking alongside individuals during seasons of growth and change.

As a mother, I have a special interest in supporting women in the perinatal and postpartum seasons, as well as families adjusting to new roles and responsibilities. I also have a heart for caregivers and older adults navigating the emotional complexities of aging and family transitions.

My approach is collaborative and person-centered, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and psychodynamic principles. I help clients explore patterns rooted in past experiences, better understand their internal world, and develop practical tools for lasting change.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable — my goal is to help you feel steady, supported, and confident in the process.

I am available for bookings Thursdays from 9 am - 4pm to clients across North Carolina.

I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and National Security and am completing a dual Master’s in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University
